The only reusable hand warmers I can find these days are the chemical ones that last about half an hour. That's about 2.5 to 3.5 hours too short for a round of golf (not including loosening up or practice putting before the round), so I was thinking about....

Back in the day they used to have hand warmers that had little propane heaters in them or something. It looked like an old-school Zippo lighter that you wrapped in some cloth or felt or something which stayed warm for a few hours...? Yeah?

Maybe I'm remembering wrong. But I hope not - I hope I can still get a little warmer somewhere. Any ideas, tips, suggestions?

I typically purchase these at Dick's: http://www.amazon.com/Heat-Treat-Han...=toolmonger-20 They last me the whole round and are usually hotter by the end of the round than they were when I first started. Takes them about 30 minutes to really heat up but after that they are good for hours.

Think the keyword is "reusable". I think I've seen what you are talking about but haven't seen any in long time.

Last winter the course where I play (mostly) sold the hell out of these things, ofcourse for a considerable price increase that at DICK'S! I watched a foresome put them in the shirt sleeves, pockets, in gloves...that was enough for me, I went home!

You guys must be hardcore - for me, when mitts/gloves and parka and a wool cap don't do the trick it's time to go inside.

I just can't stand my hands to be cold at all. Even if it's around 40, gloves keep my hands warm, but not

that warm. I typically have a pair of these gloves without fingers (not sure what the official name is) and I keep the warmers in there while I'm swinging and then wear them after I swing. Keeps things nice and warm.

Yeah, that's the picture I remember seeing recently that got me thinking about these again.

Thanks.

There's this new-fangled thing called "Google". I typed in "hand warmer" and at the top of the list was this: http://www.zippo.com/Products/handWarmer.aspx?bhcp=1

I got golf mittens 2 years ago very warm, waterproof, and they clean up easy. If you are looking for a straight hand warmer I'd have to agree with cheap ones from your local sporting goods store.

Sweet, I think I'll pick one up and use it mainly for snowboarding. Maybe I'll attempt playing golf in the winter this year. It already feels like winter in NY and its only October.

Yet they don't show up when you Google "reusable hand warmer." Bizarre.

But still, me fail, since I said "Zippo" right in the first stupid post but never Googled "Zippo hand warmer." Derrrr. Exactly (obviously) what I was looking for.

    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
    • Day 1 - 2025-12-20 Starting a new streak, of at least 1. With rain dumping for the next week in the north bay area, I'll be a lot of outdoor net work and maybe some putting. About 10 minutes of 7 iron work, focused on the usuals: weight transfer, keeping hands behind me. I'll have more time in the coming days for video review and maybe some Hack Motion.
    • Day 40 (20 Dec 25) - got in a few reps with the 55° wedge - focused on low flighted spinners from about 10 yds in, then wrapped up the session with a few bump and runs chips with the 5i using a putting type stroke.
