i just got back from golfgalaxy with my brand new cleveland hibore xls driver with fujikura fiton gold stiff shaft. I paid a whopping 26 bucks for it 'cause i traded in my burner and a putter for it. thanks to everyone who gave me some input, cant wait to take this to the course.

I have it's predecessor, the HiBore XLS. Very good driver. Now it won't magically cure your driving problems, but put a good swing on it and you'll be smoking straight drives.

Same as me, had the old Hi-Bore XLS in Draw and before it I had never hit a drive straight or over 200yrds, used to bomb it 250 regularly and always fairway

You could drop all the way down to the Hi-bore XL... lol I got one of those on ebay for $35. And a TM RCG r7 Max limited for $103, and an SQ sasquatch sumo for $73...man I'm addicted to ebay.

thats how i was about 6 months ago, then i alsmot made a buisness of it cause i would resale the stuff i bought for a higher price than i paid and also sold some of my stuff. (this was all non golf things) .. but i made some pretty good money from it.

i have a 9.0 monster draw. hit it regularly 280, though my longest with help
from the wind and swinging for the fences was around 325yds. the noise rings
my ears so badly that i'm getting rid of it.

i like the noise on my xls, and dear god when you hit the ball on the dead center of your face, it feels like that thing rockets off the face and like your hitting a bouncy ball or something, i love it.

in all seriousness though at least on 6 different occasions i've had folks at the
driving range pick up their gear and move down the other end of the range
because of the noise.

all the better for me, i dont like people swinging next to me, throws me off on tempo and stuff, just another distraction you get rid of for free...man, this driver keeps sounding better and better.. (ps, i just got my xls yesterday.)

LOL !!! thats awesome ! I always get people at the range come over and ask me what kind of club im hitting . The noise really has grown on me . I play with my brother every weekend who hits a Taylor Made Tour Burner and every time I bomb a drive he says it sounds like I blew up the ball...

Never compared the Monster Hibore XLS to the older Hibore XLS simply because the pro shop didn't have it. As I mentioned earlier I had compared it to 8 other
2009 drivers and it was the only driver that I repeatedly belted out in a consistently straight line. I love the loud sound when I connect.

    • That answers my question.  That feels more natural to me. I'll work on that. Thanks
    • Complex question. Good players begin pushing forward around P2. Visibly around P3. They're well on their way forward at P4.
    • Still plugging away with the teacher.  I do have a question after working on some drills last night. This is something I should know already but for some reason, I have gotten myself confused. It deals with weight transfer on the downswing. At what point, should that take place?  Should it be early (prior to reaching A4) ?  I ask because in one of my drills  I get to A4, I feel the weight transfer AS my arms drop, and then go.  Now this may be totally normal, but I "feel" like this gets me in a weird timing position and causes me to try and do too much at once.
    • Tentatively in for at least one of those days. My job situation is a bit up in the air at the moment so need to get that sorted out first then I'll know more for sure or not.
