It's funny, everytime I hit a ball in front of a camera my swing looks extremely flat and under the plane at the top.

Yet, when I ask my buddies to check my position at the top when I hit a ball I'm always right on plane.

Same thing when I practice in front of a mirror. I'm always right on plane.

What the hell is going on? I don't know if it's me or if it's the camera.

Golf is a game in which the ball always lies poorly and the player always lies well.

Maybe your buddy doesn't know what he's talking about?

It's possible you swing differently. You've got an audience, so in a way you may feel like the pressure is on to make a good swing?

Whether it is a camera or your buddy watching your swing, if they're not in the plane of your swing, the perspective will yield an false view.

Sorry if that was confusing sounding.

Either the camera or friend should probably be off to your right side (assuming you're swinging righty) about hip or waist high. Assuming your takeaway is in plane, your shaft should be pointing right at the camera (or friend).

Hope this makes sense.
