Two Things to Do

Guys, here are two things we should all start to do more frequently.

1. Reputation
Give positive reputation (click the button in the lower left of the post) when someone provides good information, makes a valid point, etc. Don't go hog nutty crazy, but reward people whose posts you find information, entertaining, etc.

Give negative reputation when it's warranted. I'll leave it to you to decide what's warranted or not, but disagreeing with your opinions is not warranted (calling another member a ****ing ******* in the process of disagreeing warrants it, yes! ).

2. Rate Threads
At the top of each thread in the small thread toolbar is a "Rate Thread" link. Click it and choose an option from 1 to 5 to rate threads you find particularly informative or funny. This will not only help you find the thread later - for your own use or to refer others to it - but it will help the new members quickly find valuable threads, too.

That's all. Give it a shot, be mature, and we'll all benefit.

BTW, I myself have been lax in doing these things too, but will now be doing both on a far more regular basis.

I try not to do these things sometimes because I seem to get into heated conversations quite easily. I try not to fly off the handle and give someone bad rep in the heat of the moment.

I'll try to remember to give better rep when needed, however. I've done it a couple times, but not nearly enough.

Yes, but you don't give someone bad rep for disagreeing. You give someone bad rep for something that's actually BAD.
