Are you sure? look at my handicap and my signature...

I have to agree with you, local shop has a used set of I3s, and I've never hit any other clubs quite as far-even my Titleist 775s, and they are strong lofted and hot. That being said, I have to agree with the earlier poster that ever increasing hotter and stronger clubs don't help one score better, they just necessitate the need for more wedges...

Both of you are single digits with what I would assume much more experience in the game than I. With that being said, hotter/stronger or Game Improvement irons help me personally and well as others hit more GIR's, thus score better. The less club I have to use, the more chance I have at hitting that GIR.

I was down to a 10 a year and a half ago with my hot R7's, (actually held a 9.8 for one round) mostly due to an above average short game (lots of scrambling). The long game has always been my weekness and I can use all the help I can get. The I3's just dont cut it for me.

Don't like the G15's
Didn't like the burners.

I like cobra's and I got my L4V for very cheap.
Try get a L5V if your looking for the best you can get from those three brands.

OR

Get a Nike Sumo square headed driver if your looking for distance.
they're been longest on test with a load of reviews.

thats just my opinion though.

I am by no means pushing for the R7's, but I would be a little leary about purchasing clubs that I hadn't hit before. I.e. the cobras you are watching on ebay. I would really try and hit them first before pulling the trigger.

My 2 cents.

Now I'm thinking about the Titleist AP1's......

Just my personal experience...I also tried the AP1's (Crap...or was it the AP2's..). I found that, while they felt like buttah when well struck, they weren't as forgiving to me as the R7's.

A very different feel for me...almost "soft" on contact. You have to try them yourself...

look at the callaway ft-iz... my frieng got one, and it improved his accuracy, and distance by about thirty yards... worth the money to upgrade the shaft to a VooDoo, or something of the sort.
