Fairway Woods and Woods

What is the difference? Is a Fairway Wood just a wood that has a lower sweet spot to be able to hit it off the fairway?

I wondered this myself too. Fairway woods have a smaller head :)

They're the same type of clubs.....

But being that you hit your irons further than the fairway woods anyway, who you dont need em regardless of what they're called...lol

"Wood" encompasses fairway woods and drivers. Drivers are the big ones used off the tee. Fairway woods are smaller and are used off fairways, rough, and tee box. Fairway woods are more versatile than drivers.
