Thanks, Erik. I just picked this up last week and have no idea if it is worth reading or not. If not, I'll learn to check the Reading Room reviews before I shop again (I should do this anyway).

I like Hank and would love to have the chance to work with him in person. I think good things can come from books in the form of tips, but nothing can replace having a live lesson with a PGA certified professional. Every player has unique problem area's and no one book is right for everyone. I would rather see money spent on a real lesson than spent on a book. JMO of course.

Great instruction book. Haney's philosophy of working with the swing YOU currently have is my preference.

seems aimed at higher handicap players but it does not appear to me like it would help anyone's game much. there are a few tips that could be useful to some but overall and in every way possible it leaves much to be desired. supposed to be a golf lesson from hank in book form but that format just doesn't really work. i would not recommend this one.

was that a real dog?

Golf is a complex game where so many elements of the golf swing are interconnected. One minute aspect of your swing can impact the results dramatically. Golf lessons from a qualified professional are likely to help any golfer improve on their game. There are different kinds of golf lessons that are sure to fit any golfers schedule, budget, or needs.

I hate "golf lessons" based on your "typical" golfer in either book or DVD form. They start with correcting a grip I don't use to eliminate the swing I don't make to cure the slice I don't have.
