I just picked up a Ping G5i Pal putter for a good price and think it's really good. I know that they are "old" news now, but i tried it up against some of today' best and still thought it was great. Well balanced, nice weight and rolls the ball really smooth.

I just sank in two long putts with my G5i Ally putter today. The first a 20 footer for birdie, the second a 40 footer for an up-and-down par.

Hahahaha, no dude, that wasn't the case, though that's not totally far from what happens sometimes. I hit my 2nd shot fat (my most common mishit) so it went like, 30 yards (6 iron), so I was left inside the dreaded gap in which if I hit a full 56* I am too short, if I hit a full PW I am too long, and a half PW is a shot I prefer not to do. So I just hit a full (and beautiful) PW that landed at the far end of the green and the cup was at the front of the green. I just went to the putt hoping to god I don't 3 putt it, surprisingly it sank!

    • Day 4, 1/2/26.  Played 18 today;  didn't get a chance to warm up (had I known the range was closed, I'd have hit balls at home first).  Played okay, 92 with three balls in the water.  It was raining for more than half the round and I didn't quite appreciate before today just how much I benefit from roll on both drives and approach shots.  I did not adapt well to this change until about hole 15, which is something I have to figure out.
    • Day 143 1-2 Arch wrist in downswing. Having a SLIGHT cup in the lead wrist at the top now. Only paused swings with some rehearsals before swinging at ball.  Used foam ball.
    • Day 459 - 2026-01-02 Had two guys on GEARS Hybrid, so I hopped on afterward (I'm going to do this a lot more often now). So… I've signed myself up for another month of backswing work in two ways: A little more extension of the trail elbow (got into the upper 90s) Less pelvis turn (low 50s).
    • Day 31 (2 Jan 26) - Usual Friday men’s group shootout - good day of shot making  as most shots were right on line to the target point.  Putter and green reads were solid with some great par saves and a really tricky birdie.
    • Day 13 - 2026-01-02 One hour short game work. Chipping balls to different targets, compass putting drill with 2-3% slope.
