First time was last year.

My take on it... just a big swap meet... like a flea market just that it is just all GOLF STUFF
you can find good deals on clubs and balls and everything in between.
They have some seminars which is good, and also some golfing contest. (long drive, long putt and hole in one)

Bring some cash to buy all the things you think might improve your game.

Going to be looking for a cheap 5 hybrid and some hand picked PRO V1.

Hope that helps.

The flea market with all golf stuff is a perfect description and there is some neat stuff there. The other thing is if you see something you like and decide you will come back later odds are it will be gone. If you've never been it would probably be worth at least one trip plus some things may have changed since I went. In terms of great deals you can find the same deals on the internet.

Chicago has two of these golf shows under diffrent sponsors and while they are similar, the NorthCoast version is the smaller of the two and after attending it for the first time, I would not go back. It could be the economy or maybe the exhibitors only go to the larger show, but there were fewer exhibitors, no pros from local courses giving free lessons to drum up business, and no free hitting/demo areas. There were hardly any reps from the local courses. At last year's bigger show, there were many. Phillie may be different.

Two instructor/fitters from Indiana did give a nice presentation about adjustable drivers that I enjoyed just from the geek factor. And if I wanted a T/M Burner 09 , I could have got one for $159 vs $199 at Golfsmith except no backup . What the heck, free parking and it was only 10 bucks and they gave a free subscription to Golf Magazine.

Forgot to mention... they do have two PGA Golf Instructor (free lessons) there and do have a DEMO Area for hitting...
they also have a Main Stage for Seminars... which is really good.

I enjoy the show alot and plan on attending...
