I recently bought a set of Cleveland Launcher LP (4-GW), and a Hippo XXL 3h, and now I need a new bag. I have a carry bag from my beginner's set, but it doesn't even have a stand, and the bag has fallen over. So, all in all I am looking for a good stand/carry bag (I sometimes walk the 18 holes, sometimes ride, so I need something good for both situations). The ones I was looking at include the Nike Xtreme Sport, Ogio Exo/Edge/Vaporlite/Ozone/Grom, so a lot to choose from. If anybody can give me advice on what would be best for me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

sshashid87, I'd wait until September when Ping releases their Voyage and Vantage bags. Light weight, practical features, very durable. I like mine a lot.

I'll be reviewing the Schling (eventually), but the early word is this: very good. Very good... surprisingly so. Not so good if you have a thick thick neck (i.e. 280 lbs or more, maybe?).

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

I just recently purchased a Callaway Terra Firma X bag after playing a Ping Hoofer 3 for a few years. I'm pretty sure people either love or hate that strap system with Ping, I personally could never quite get adjusted properly so I was in the latter group. The one thing I did like about the Ping bag was how light it was, and the pockets in the bag all seemed to be in the exact right spots. One thing that was missing, I really like having the putter pit seperate from the rest of the compartments.

Ogio makes great bags as well, my wife has one and loves it, I think I heard somewhere that they make the bags for Callaway too, so I guess I've got one as well.

I have the Nike Xtreme Sport and I love it. It's light, full of features, has a lot of pockets, and overall it looks really nice (depending on the color).

    • I thoroughly enjoyed Erik ripping the article apart. Well done sir.
    • Day 47. Technique practice into the net working on evolvr feedback for 15 minutes.
    • Day 10- Worked on grip and keeping swing short.
    • Yes, slightly. Hitting driver and three wood much better, generally straight or a slight draw, Especially since I upgraded from ping G 410 to G 430. Both clubs have 2degrees more loft. That together with a slight swing  change, improved technology ,definitely getting more distance.  On the downside not hitting my ions as well as normal, pitching definitely improving, especially for someone who got to a four handicap 30 years ago and couldn’t pitch . Chipping a bit up and down, pardon the pun, that was definitely one of the reasons I got to that  handicap when I played many moons  ago, ( I stopped playing for 20 years), better short putter than I was before Had quite a few opportunities to shoot my age, 73, mostly didn’t chip as well as I could when I had the chance.
    • Finally, birthday number seven, just short in two & pitched to about 5 feet.  front nine all done! Also, got a lucky eagle on three, caught a nine iron a smidge  fat, never left the  pin landed short and rolled in the hole
