I switched to the Maxfli Tour two years ago when the Snell 3-piece ball became more expensive. The Maxfli Tour has been a good ball for me. -

Snell also had a supply issue with the company than made the resin for the cover. That may have led to compromises that made the cover less durable. I believe they switched suppliers for the new cover.
