I'd like anyone who plays or has played the FT-IQ to share their opinion of the driver. I've got an FT-IQ tour on hold and am thinking it over. I will either reshaft my burner or switch to the FT-IQ.

What's your opinion of the ft-iq compared to other drivers you've hit/played? Either way, I'm looking for a new driver setup.

I picked up the FTIQ tour in October and hit it for a month or two before the season closed out. I wanted the FTIQ for two reasons: lower trajectory and more forgiving. It gives me both!

It has a penetrating, mid height trajectory ball flight. I really like the shaft! (the Fubuki 63 shaft) And...I'm told due to the square head, I find it incrediably forgiving. I've read reviews that stated "I can't not hit the ball straight!" Welll...I'm not sure I find it that forgiving. But, it's the most forgiving driver I've ever hit in my life.

I'm told the tour version has a .5* degree open face, but....when you look down, there's no way. In fact, I'd even say it has a 1-2* closed face. I've A-B'd the tour vs non tour versions side by side and I can't see a difference looking down at them.

I've been hitting the Callaway X series driver the past two seasons. And...earlier this year I picked up the FT-5, just to try. I think the FTIQ is superior to these two models, no question.

I was apprehensive about the square face at first, but after two range sessions, I had forgotten what a "traditional" 460 head looked like. I don't think you'd regret the purchase. Good luck!

I love my FTiQ! I am a new golfer who was looking for a max-forgiving driver, and I got it. Don't get me wrong, the ball can go left and right, but the sweet spot is huge, and you really got to do something wrong to get a ball in the woods. Some talk about composite clubs sounding bad, but I dig the pop you get from the FTiQ when well struck.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I'm gonna check it out a little more tomorrow... and by check it out I simply mean hold it and look it haha, which doesn't tell me much. The problem is with the cold weather I can't get out and hit one right now...

I have an FT-IQ and think it is an excellent club. The square head puts more weight at heel and toe than a pear shaped head, and as such will help off center hit to go straight. As a matter of fact, I have hit a few shots off center that feel not so great, but the ball goes straight and my playing partners say "nice drive". But I know i didn't catch it flush.

I am looking at a new driver as I want to be able to work the ball left or right off the tee, and due to this club wanting to go straight, doesn't give me the workability I would like. It is a 9* stiff with the great Fubuki shaft. I got it over the summer and is in fantastic condition. Let me know if you are interested in it. I take VERY good care of my clubs.
