Ok here is another swing for everyone to critque. I am working on some things and trying to get some consistency in my swing. I saw one thing I need to work on I think which is on my take away I don't let my wists turn open to have the toe pointing up about half way up. Instead my club face is pointing down. Am I right in needing to fix this? So here is my swing and let me knwo what ya think! I also hit one fat, you can't miss it

You probably don't want the toe up. That's well open to the club plane. And believe me, with the right elbow action you've got going on, that's the last thing I'd worry about...

http://iacas.org/f/ehsgolf1_swing.jpg So I'd work on two things: 1) keeping that right elbow on the chest a bit longer. 2) let the club cock up much more quickly.

Thank you very much for your time and your info! I will be sure to work on this and post another video to see if I have made some progress. Where exactly do I want to be halfway back with regards to the clubface?

Not sure, but I think Iacas is saying that if your right elbow stays more connected to your body, and folds properly, the clubface will be in better shape.

I agree with Iacas. If you keep the right arm more connected and hing your left wrist after the takeaway... you'll create more whip/clubhead speed and smoke it!! Try putting a glove under your right arm or even a floatie on your arm (i.e. Golf Fix tip) to keep the right arm more connected. Sweet flexibility though...I'm jealous!!

So if I can become more connected, do you think my consistency should improve with that?

Yeah I don't see why not. I'd also practice some pitch shots or half swings with a focus on staying connected thus, hinging the wrists earlier for more power. I had a similar issue years ago because I used to play baseball so the high right elbow would put my clubhead pointing right of the target line. Tough to square up the face if that happens.

When I chip....i definately stay connected with a good amount of wrist cock.
