I am making a golf trip to Las Vegas and Mesquite at the end of April to play a couple nice courses. The first one will be TPCC Las Vegas and the other is Wolf Creek. The Wolf Creek course was inspired by the Tiger Woods golf on the Wii.

I am really excited to play these two courses and was curious is anyone has played them and can offer some advice.

Thanks!

Wolf Creek is one of the best courses in the Vegas area and will be one of the most memorable courses you will ever play. It was not inspired by the TW game on Wii. It was built before Wii even existed. Perhaps the Wii game was inspired by Wolf Creek. My advice when you play Wolf Creek is to hit it straight and bring a camera.

Here is a link to an article about Wolf Creek: http://www.top100golfcourses.co.uk/h...ls.asp?id=1100 Here is a link to my photos of Wolf Creek: http://sports.webshots.com/album/557768692fBmMJz TPC Vegas is okay, but not great. There are better and less expensive choices in the area. In particular, the three Paiute courses and the Chase. Sorry, I didn't mean that the TW game inspired the course. I got inspired to go after I saw the course in the game.

I'll check out the other courses and see which one looks interesting...thanks for your help.

Had chance to play Wolf Creek. Also played 1/2 price by contacting a guy who sells teetimes last minute. Could only book 24 hrs in advance. Got first teetime. Absolutely stunning course. Bring camera. Enjoy. I'll toss out a # but really don't know if is correct but worked for me 2 years ago. 866-711-2665.

You should be aware that Wolf Creek is a bout 85 miles from the Vegas strip and will take about an hour 15 min to drive from the strip. It's well worth the drive.

Thanks Sabram...we figured it was about an hour an a half. Very excited to play there. Also heard it's pretty gimmicky.

I will definitely take a camera and thanks for the number. We have already made a tee time through their website, so I don't know if we want to take the chance of waiting until last minute to book the tee time. Don't want to take the chance of not getting on, but I'll call the number and see what my options are...

heard it's pretty gimmicky.

"Gimmicky" has such a negative connotation. I suppose creating 18 holes in an environment that is in the middle of dessert, mesas, ravines, cliffs and arroyos and is inherently hostile to anything green, let alone a golf course, is per se gimmicky. Although I'm not fond of the waterfall (which to me are always gimmicky on a golf course if not natural) the course itself is a real test of golf with lots of good holes.
