A person I know has a golf glove that belonged to tiger woods when he came over a few years ago. She was chatting to him and at the end of the round he gave her his glove.

He was playing and she was talking to him, doubt she'd have it on display if it wasn't his.

It was one of the few times he's played in ireland.

Great souvenir, but w/o it being autographed it would be tough to authenticate for any value ... I deal with a fair amount of sports memorabilia, and authentication is key.

She was talking to him during the round then after the round he gave her the glove so I guess after he shook hands with whoever he was playing with and took off the glove

It's just a bit strange. He doesn't stand around after a round. He rarely says anything to anyone in the gallery, much less give them a glove.

I've NEVER heard of him talking to anyone in the gallery DURING a round. She just followed him around the course and he kept talking to her? He happened to spot her and then talk to her? Amongst hundreds of other people? Hummmmm..............

But maybe a few years ago he was nicer. I see where you're coming from but I doubt she'd put the glove in a box in display if she didn't get it from tiger.

I doubt he was ever much of a talker. I'm not sure it's about being nice or not. It's more about focusing on the game. Plus, if he talked to one or two people, many other people would see that and try to talk to him. And since he's been the biggest thing in golf, really ever since he became pro, I really doubt he would do that.

I don't mean to denegrate you or you're friend, it's just the skeptic in me coming out and logically thinking about the how of the situation.

Aside from all the other comments based on what Tiger has done lately, which we all should know was completely inexcuseable. I would say that the glove wouldn't be worth much. It probably has more sentimental value than anything. Without COA or any other type of verification it's going to be hard to place value on it. Tiger isn't really the conversationalist on the course, whether it's before, during, or after a round. He used to get in the gallery and sign autographs but he couldn't sign for everyone and the others would get mad so he just stopped all together, can't blame him I don't guess. But again, like others have said without undeniable verification it'll be hard to place a selling value on it. BUT if it did have COA I'd approximate it at anywhere from $250-$500 dollars.

Think that was the only time he's played here in the public eye for a long, long time.

If it was then I'd say it's possible he gave his glove to someone.I heard he was very outgoing and friendly during that Tournamment, pulled a few disabled kids out of the crowd to have pictures taken and all that.

He's coming back this year, well he signed a contract to do it anyway so hopefully I'll get to see him play
