Tuning his guitar would be a start.

Ah, I'm used to it. You work with as many "musicians" as I have, and you hear some pretty bad stuff. The larger the ego, the worse the musician. You can give a man a tuned, intonated guitar, but you can't teach him to play well. In this case, it's both. Stability is the key, and so few have that. To be a session musician, you need to be incredibly stable, but very, very few amateur musicians are. In a way it's like golf. The reason I can make a living as a session player is because I can play whatever I need to, stable, and nearly free of mistakes, the same reason pro golfers can play on tour.


Pre-record the Golf Fix. Yes it's an hour show, but it takes Michael Breed 30 min to stop bumbling and figure out what camera to look at. And please get rid of John Finestein. I can't figure out if he's wearing red lipstick or just finished eating cherry popsicles.
