What is the ideal spin RPM on a ball?

Got a lesson today.
Was looking at the shot tracker and with a 6 iron I was getting 8800 RPM of backspin and 400 RPM of sidesipin with range balls.

I'm just wondering whats the ideal amount of spin to get on a golf ball with a iron?

It might also be because it was a range ball? Do you know if it was a limited flight ball?

Is that for a 6-iron?

If so I guess I'm not using the proper clubs then. I was thinking 8800 was a little much.

6i, yes. The PGA average for 9i is 8647, 8403 for the LPGA PW. 8800 with a 6i seems a bit excessive, yes. I always thought the range balls spun less. You should try hitting some playing balls and see what it says.

I was only hitting shots 140-145 yards and I easily hit a 6i 160 yards. would that make a difference?

Im not very knowledgeable on the spin dynamics or range balls so I am not sure, but I have always been amazed at how a limited flight range ball just knows when to die.

Absolutely. A limited flight ball is lighter, and a lighter ball spins more. Any calculations made with a range ball are pretty much useless.
