Hi to all,

Currently i am playing the the Titleist model, i like the irons but i am concerned about that being forged, they are likely to deteriorate faster than cast irons. I use those neoprene headcovers but that doesn´t help when you find a stone under the ground at 85-95 mph and the club dings...

I have seen the TM Tour preferred irons and i really like the look, it seems you can work the ball and still have some forgiveness. You may not have the feel of forged, but it seems that if you take care of them they are likely to retain the new look longer.

Another thing is that i am looking for a stiffer steel shaft, as my titleist are regular.

Do you think the switch deserves a try? I can get the TM new for about $600 or less.

My handicap is 12, driver ss 99-102 mph.

Thanks in advance

I am Titleist biast so i will not comment on what iron to go with...however your converns over forged irons are fixed easily. I use iron headocovers for my 3-PW, keeps your investment in great condition..no bag chatter etc.

The 755 is nice irons have hit it with the Nippon shaft I prefer that to DG on them. I haven't hit the TMs though but 755s are certainly forgiving enough

1.Forged irons don't feel any different to cast clubs.
2.
As far as "deterioration", I don't think you'll wear them out unless you play 24 hours a day for several years.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.
