Hi I just tried to use the website to make a tee time for me. It's saying not available at this time and the number listed says out of business. Thats messed up cause I saw these things all over the place so am betting that there is still a lot of these out there that are unused:(

When you call the phone number, they give you another phone number to call....Call that number!

I called it and left a message and got a call back. I gave them a little bit of info. and I am supposedly going to get a $50 gift card (Visa) in the mail within the next week or so. We'll see.

Yeah golfnow.com,ftw. They have insane discounts. You can often get 18 holes with cart for $30, from near $70 regularly.

Try ezlinks.com, its kind of like priceline except for tee times instead of hotel room. Sat a friend and I are playing 18 and cart for $17.20 each at a course where it normally costs $43, granted there are a limited number of times available every day but its free to join with no membership fees and yes you do have to pay up front but you can cancell 24 hours in advance. Even where I live in southern il there are a few courses available. You normally have to look probably at least 24-48 hours ahead of time to find a time you prefer, waiting until the same day and you wont find much. Its good for when you know ahead of time when you can play, not so good for last minute trips. This will be the 2nd time we've used it and will continue to use it as long as we find our local courses on there.

Interesting stuff. A Walter Dragosz owns the domain name. If you google him, it appears he has owned other golf enterprises that have gone out of business. Don't hold your breath waiting for that VISA gift card.

So what is the new number to call?  Did you get your gift cards?

    • Day 3:  I tried to hit a bucket at the range but an 80 year old man (he told me his age, showed me his knee replacement scars, told me all about his chronic low back pain, etc) couldn’t pass up the opportunity to mansplain to me every little thing I’m doing wrong.  Dude, it’s my third frickin day.  I know I need to twist my hips more, I know I need to keep my head/chest down and not pop up, I know I need to hit through the ball and follow through further, yada yada yada.  I know.  That’s exactly what I’m trying to work on.  How about you tell me or show me how to do those things instead of telling me to watch Iron Byron videos?  Rough day.
    • Day 132: 5/7/24 Full Speed Spectrum Training session 8/24. 7th training program overall.    Another slow session but 4 mph faster than my last session, which was my slowest ever. Going to the doctor on Friday to check on pulled neck muscle.
    • Day 26: Did full swing practice after work. First 15 balls were working on top of the backswing feel, and then tried to incorporate transition feel into the next 15 balls. A's, although this will be my last season of being a fan as they leave for Las Vegas (by way of Sacramento for a few seasons). Hard to see myself rooting for the Giants, but if that's the only MLB in the Bay Area, I guess I might get on board.
    • My two cents? Don't. As a beginner that's interested in learning about the golf swing, you'll find yourself consuming a lot of information, most of which isn't even relevant to your own swing. You need to learn you can't think your way to a good golf swing. Focus on the one thing that you're working on and doing that on every swing, come what may. And remember, mishits happen.
    • Day 6 (7 May 24) - More work in the backyard focused on tempo in addition to setup.  Worked with 6 and 7 irons hitting hard foam balls - used the old MacGregor irons to mix it up a little.
