I haven't swung a club outdoors in 5 months, and I'm hitting the range for the first time today.

What I'm planning to do is to pull out my old Wislon blades for my warm up. I'm not good enough to play those clubs, but I'm thinking that they will be a good way to make me focus on the range. I miss the feedback from those clubs. I'm hoping that practicing some with clubs this demanding will be good for me, even at a 28 handicap. I know this won't be good practice for chipping, distance measurement, etc, but I'm hoping that it will be good ballstriking practice.

Anyone else practice with hard-to-hit clubs?

You might be doing yourself more harm than good doing that. Why wouldn't you just use the clubs you normally do? Im guessing those blades would be hard for a good player to hit, so trying to practice with those doesn't really make sense. I get you can receive more feedback, but it doesn't help when you can barely hit them to begin with

I'm not sure I agree with this logic - and I'm very much yay over nay on the whole blades debate. The main

advantage of blades is on hitting (and practicing) partial shots and creative shots (varying trajectory on pitches, getting consistent weight on chips, hitting precise punches and knockdowns). On the full swing, you could take a couple blades to warm up, but if the lies, swingweights, and offsets are not similar to your gamer set, what are you practicing?
