This guy is just freaking me out at the moment. I just wanted to know whether other people believe think he can actually 'ascend' to another level.

Thanks,
Binh.

given his first 10 year or even 27 years of continued improvement I see no reason to think this will not continue. Tigers passion and reason for playing are completely different from the rest of the tour and any other golfer. He seems to find a reason to refine and improve his game when it seemingly is unbeatable to anyone else. I would venture to say that Tiger would take his relentless and neverending pursuit of perfection into anything he does. He is a freak....admirable and iconic...but still a freak.
Regardless...to answer your question....I see no letup in Tigers pursuit of getter better.

Yes, he can definitely get more consistent with his Driver. But the amount he can improve is probably limited compared to most people. After age 35 he will start to need to make adjustments to changes in his body, not much at first, but as hard as he swings I have to blieve he will devlop some chronic problems.

He did change his swing the last time in large part to help him avoid any chronic problems. He's incredibly fit, too.

Remember, he had surger on his left knee because he used to "snap" it pretty hard. His last swing change was as much about fixing that problem, some say, as anything else. If other golfers can last 30 years without too many major injuries, I think the fittest golfer of them all can do it, too. That said, Tiger does have less ROOM to improve than most golfers, but more ability to do so, too. So while he may be 90% there, and most other pros at 80%, it'll be easier for him to get to 95% than most other pros to get to 85%, I believe. (Percentages completely made up, yes... but for the sake of argument, assume 50% gets you on the PGA Tour, and 100% is hitting every shot just about roughly how you want it - perfect is not possible, after all. )

Tom Watson said if he had 3-5 shots a round exactly as he envisioned it was good round....

I think Ben Hogan said something similar as well, and it's true. I hit two good golf shots today, and I otherwise played so so. But those two shots are what bring me back - the chance to hit three next time. Or four!

Which is why I defined my percentages as "hitting a shot roughly how you wanted it." I left in room for small error.

....I think that there is a consipracy in place on the Tour. See....after Tiger goes on his (2) year slaughter of winning majors, he has agreed with the PGA to re-vamp his swing so as to allow Phil, Rateif, and Shawn Makiel types to win a few over this period. This aleviates the boring factor. Once Tiger becomes restless and people start talking about Phil as the next dominant player, he returns with a vengence. I'm going back to my den now as some of the tin foil is starting fall down off the walls and ceiling.....;)

Of course Tigers going to get better. You look at any professional athlete that was #1 in their respective sport or playing position. They got better and better as the years went along. Until they reached that plateau. Examples are Michael Jordan, Jack Nicklaus, Jeff Gordan, Jerry Rice. These are just a few. These athletes dominated their sport or playing position. They got better and better. So will Tiger Woods. He's dominating golf, he's breaking records and setting them. He will surpass Jack's records and you know what? He will get better.
