Instructional Ball Markings?

I know marking your ball is overwhelmingly common. My question is, is it legal for the markings to be "instructional"? For example, One day I put 3 small little glyphs on my ball to remind me to stand up straight, not hit behind the ball, and to keep a smooth tempo.

I picture someone could have a cheat sheet on their ball and have it covered in words of coaching advice (to go to an extreme).

I could be wrong, but the only way that would be cheating is if you read the advice out loud to your opponent. Although I'm not sure swingthoughts count as "advice".

For all I care you could just write instructions on your ball.

It's legal. You can also take notes out on a piece of paper, even notes written by your instructor. You could even take Five Fundamentals out on the course with you.

Ya, I dont think its cheating in anyway. I keep a 3"x4" notebook with me, full of tips my instructor has given me. I fully intend to carry it with me for when I have problems, between shots I can pull it out and reinforce small things I may be neglecting.

Why not keep a notepad yourself, instead of marking balls?

Ya. Actually I do keep a notepad with me and take notes during the round. The ball marking idea was just after instructor had made a posture change and I wanted to reinforce it at address. I've since stopped the markings as I seem to have that part ingrained.

Was just kinda curious.
