I was able to reach 230+ yards with driver and 200+ yard with 3 wood at the driving range. However, it was very windy day here in lake county, IL. I'm very curious about how the wind might have affected the distance. Typically, I barely reach 200 yards with driver, but getting better each day. Can right to left wind gust (right on my face) carry the ball 30+ yards or am I improving or both?

It's possible. It depends on whether or not the wind was coming from behind you as well as right to left and you hit the ball high in the air. I was out yesterday and had a strong wind coming from behind me and right to left, so I teed it waaaaay up and hit it high. Got it to go 311 yards, by far my longest drive. Of course, I also was able to really hit at it hard since the wind would take off any minor slice I might hit. I normally hit a driver 225-230.

Your desire to change has to be greater than your desire to stay the same.
