Current state of the program.

I can only do 25-50% swing speed, probably under 50% since I was hitting the ball out to the 150 yard marker (yay!),  to get the arms down and somewhat turn the body through impact. I mean somewhat. Arms down + body turn don't like to mesh at all. Anything faster and the body does stupid uncoordinated stuff. Mostly, I am stuck in the old pattern of staling the turn and flipping at the ball.

So, until I see progress. I am not posting anything here.

Previous on course feels

1. Slow down backswing to a pause at P4.
2. Just turn through impact and make solid contact.
3. If over cutting, then add a bit more hands down feel.

Basically, I would just aim left and hit some slight cuts or over cuts. It gave me like so much room to miss.

On course feels right now.

1. Slowing down backswing to a pause at P3 to P4.
2. Right palm down to my right foot or back of left hand down to right foot. Trying to feel like the club is 45 degrees behind me.
3. Well kind of 2.5. Just a feel of as the wrist work down to P6, add in a bit of forearm rotation through impact. Trying to feel like if I let go of the club at P8, it would fling out right of target.

Still not the best at using the ground. So everything is like 10 yards shorter. Which is fine.

Something that has fixed my putting this year. I have started to add a bit of left shoulder back and up for the forward stroke. It feels like my left hand is pulling up on the putter. I haven't heeled a putt in about 4 weeks now. As I put it, hitting my initials on my putter.  The ball is rolling end over end, and just deadly accurate hitting my start lines now.

    • Day 13: about 30 minutes of putting work. Did a bit on bead, and then worked on putts in the 6-12 foot range.

    • Day 308 7-9 Arm widening and arching wrist. Still dont quite have the hang of it. Pausing at top and doing slow swings
    • Day 19 (9 July 26) - My tournament partner and I got together today to do a practice round for the tournament we’ll be playing later this month - it’s a two day captain’s choice and Texas shamble format.  We opted to play the front in the shamble format and the back captain’s choice.  We’ll get another round in where we will play it opposite.  Good day of working in strategy and effective course management.
    • +3 38 Hit some good shots. Had to stop side bending off the tee and distance wedges. Hit a 5 iron to 13 feet on a par three and 6 iron to 18 feet on a par three. Just good execution on my swing.
