Mizuno MP32 6 iron

Local Pro Shop has a MP32 6 iron with a s300 shaft that is 1/2" longer with 2 deg upright (I am 1/4" 3 deg upright with my Pings) ex demo for £5

Was thinking of getting this club as a range/learning tool to concentrate on my ball striking in the hope that learning to hit a forged blade consistently will help my ball striking with my irons.

Is this a good idea do you think?

I'd say to get it, too. Get the lie adjusted (use impact tape, since their standard and yours may vary), and know that you'll have to grip down a bit when you hit it.

I have 6-irons from MP-29 and MP-33 that I use on the range sometimes. I'm amazed at how nicely I can hit a blade.

It has been in the basket for ages, I am gonna go get it tomorrow :)
I am hoping the extra 1/4 inch shaft and 1 deg flatter will not notice that much if I grip down a bit.

Well I got it and it cleaned up real nice, shame the rust spots had got through the chrome covering but hey.
S300 Dynamic Gold shaft and Golf Price grip in great condition, the club face is mint considering it was a demo :)









I hit it on the range and I too am surprised how easily I hit a blade with a stiff shaft, and oh boy did if feel sweet on pure hits.

Cool, nice find. There was a 1-iron in the barrel at the golf shop the other day for $5. Not a brand I'd heard of before, and clearly older than dirt, but I almost grabbed it for the novelty.

Man, I wish I had one of those. I'm playing 13 clubs at the moment, I'd love to throw a 1-iron in the bag

just for the sake of having it in the bag . If your signature is still those 11 clubs, would you consider putting it in your bag for a round just to say you had a (whatever score) with a 1-iron in the bag? Too cool. Just too cool.
