Lettle me tell you bout my new little Persimmon friends. For years I have been collecting old drivers, for what reason...I couldnt tell you. But today for some reason I dug out these old Wilsons to clean up and see if I could hit them. I was pleasantly surprised. They didnt have the loft of my TM but they made a wonderful sound coming off the ball

LOL ...... those are great, it's fun from time to time to hit old clubs like that, just so you can see how easy we have it now, haha

Actually, I think the old persimmon clubs are easier to hit than the modern ones, especially fairway woods. The shafts are shorter and stiffer, and they have more loft, and less COR. All that makes them a bit easier to control.

Persimmon woods feel great and so do maple laminates, which I suspect those Wilsons are. Any pics of the face? Hint: use the macro feature. My favourite woods of all time were laminates - Ram Accubar - mashed 'em good - real good!!
