My pro was getting me to hit punch shots to stop me using the wrists so much and to focus on turning the body.
Now that's fine for punch shots but if I try it on normal shots I hit a hook.

Any tips?
I know there isn't much info but I don't have a swing video at the moment.

through the hitting area, extend your spine, extend your arms, push your pelvis forward---this will result in a push draw. Emphasizing body turn instead of just swinging with your arms is great and improves ball striking, but if you don't extend your spine, extend your arms, and push your pelvis forward through the hitting zone, you risk hitting low draws and pull draws.

good drills here.

A good visual, set up a gate, two golf shafts, or two wood dowels about 5-7 yards in front of you, about a yard apart. Line up the ball in the middle of that gate, and try to get the ball to fly through the center of it. This will cause you to hold the back of your left hand more through impact. But if you find your self hitting pushes or slices a bit, then you need to just rotate your shoulders more through impact, that is were your Pro means rotate more. Your still flipping your hands.

other tips i've heard involve grip & grip pressure:

1. make sure your lower hand (right hand for a righty) holds onto the grip a little more tightly (still not a deathgrip though), as this will help prevent it from turning over. Drill would be to try and keep a tee wedged between the thumb-side palm of your lower hand and the top of your upper hand while taking swings.

2. in general, if you have a stronger grip (which many advocate esp if you fight a slice), it will help promote a draw/hook, so you could go to a more neutral or weaker grip (for any who may not know, "stong" does not equal grip pressure here, but position; essentially strong grip = hands rotated so seeing a little more of your top hand at address, while weak = seeing a little more of your bottom hand)
