i have mizuno mx 100s and they have a 4 and a 5 hy. but it seems like i never hit them solid. (Yes i treat them like irons) but they all just seem to be badly hit and faded.

so today i pulled out my dads 4 iron (875 Tommy Armour) and from 200 out put both balls i hit on the green

i hit them very solidly and they felt great

so im looking on ebay to see if i can find a mizuno 4/5 iron that i could buy. i know they dont have them in mx 100s but what type of mizuno irons should i be looking for?

MX-23, MX-25 or MX-200 would be good options. You also have the option of the MP Fli-Hi hybrids. They are hybrids but the head shape is very much like an iron. I had a set of them (2H, 3H and 4H) and personally didnt care for them and they dont seem to get a lot of love in magazine reviews but some people like them.

yeah the only thing is though i dont know where to find just a 4 iron or a 5 iron without having to buy a whole set because all the irons on ebay are standard size shaft but mine need to be plus 1

I hate hybrids. I am a traditionalist, i have to have something that looks like an iron or wood to hit it. The hybrids and those funky drivers just don't sit well.

If I was hitting my Dad's Tommy Armour 845's spot on, I'd be looking for some Tommy Armours.

That's the first thing that I thought as well.
