What are the lines with the arrows on the side of the golf ball for?

Is that an M4 in your avatar? Anyway no stupid questions here. Some use that line of print like an arrow, for lining up putts. Some put a marker line through it (like Tiger) and when they line up a putt the line lets them line up the aiming line of the putter to the ball.

You can use them to help you line up your putts or on the tee. Or you can put your own line on the ball.

so when I bounce the ball of a tree and scuff off the paint that points to the left am I supposed to only let my right handed playing partner use that ball from now on?

OK, I thought maybe they were engineered to roll a certain way or something crazy like that.

Technically an AR15 but yes. It is as close to an actual M4 as the feds will allow. Only thing missing is the select fire.
