Lots of action that's been going on. A guy who missed the whole season is the first pick. Broncos select Tebow in the first round. You can teach football skills, but you can't teach that level of leadership and work ethic.

He's also got tons of baggage. I think this was Jerry getting over not taking Randy Moss is 1998. As a Cowboys fan...I don't think I like it.

Tebow in the first round is dumb. I can't stand his rah-rah holy roller BS, and I doubt guys in the NFL are going to buy into it either.

I'm a Giants fan and cannot, for the life of me, understand the Jason Pierre-Paul draft. First of all, they're already stacked at DE. I know you take a pass rusher when possible, but not when there are glaring needs and this is already a strength. Secondly, how many "boom or bust" picks turn out to be "boom"?? He is raw, he's weak against the run, he didn't play a full year of college football at a high level...I could go on and on. Solid DTs picked after him, that hurts.

As a Chiefs fan I'm pretty happy with the first round of the draft, solid pick up at number 5 that definitely fills a need, plus Denver wastes a pick on Tebow.

My first initial thought... Character changed this first round tremendously.

My team first:

Colts - LOVE LOVE LOVE the pick. We have needed a 3rd pass rushing end for quite some time. Jerry Hughes is also a guy that can stand up on 3rd down and roam around... LOVED THIS PICK! Now we need a O-Lineman in the 2nd.

Chiefs - got the best player in the draft in my opinion!

Dallas - got a good WR... with loads of baggage... there is a HUGE reason why 10 teams completely scratched him off of the list. I thought OL was their biggest pressing need... but they passed on Randy Moss, so there is no way Jerry Jones could pass on Dez.

Giants - JPP - trust me... you will love that guy... he is a flat out man-child!! Just wait what he brings to your d-line.

Broncos - not shocked... but stunned. I want to root for Tebow, but thats a bit high... but then again, if you compare his stats to Bradford and Clausen, you will be shocked!! TRUST ME! The guy is a winner and he will give 150%, so give him a chance. Dont give up on the guy...

I think they are looking to deal Kiwanuka. He was seeing alot of the bench towards the end of last season.

I'm hoping my Lions (yes, i was born in detroit, im a lions fan) will pick up a good linebacker to replace Sims. Sims was an amazing player and should do pretty well with the eagles.

Well, I really think Dez will get his act together. Talent wise, best in the draft. Deon Sanders hopefully can help him get the off the field stuff together, either way, talent wise, Roy Williams is now the 4th best receiver on the Big D Squad!!! Kansas City got Dex Mcluster from Ole Miss! I've met him a few times and he really seems like a great young man. Hope he can be a solid contributer!

There were definitly some shockers in the draft this year. I wish Eric Berry would have sliped to Cleveland at 7 but Joe Haden isn't a bad pick and T.J. Ward in the 2nd is about as hard of hitting safety coming out in this years draft.

Sims was BAD last year, however, in previous years... he was the Lions best defensive player!

That is a statement on the state of the Lions defense more so then on Sims play. Sims has never been a good linebacker in the nfl. Sure he has had lots of tackles, that doesn't make him a good player

    • Depends on what you mean by loading. There's load on the grip early in the backswing, transition, and at delivery. Big periods of acceleration. Swinging fast pulls on the grip with some good amounts of force. I've never touched a weight, but I can squeeze a dynamometer pretty well. I know you know a bit about weightlifting, but it's not just that. But… if they're really low, then it's going to become a limiting factor, as high swing speeds creates a lot of pull. Yes. It can happen. Especially with shitty worn old grips. Perhaps, yeah. Yes.
    • Angular velocity and acceleration caused by torque.
    • He's going for that carelessly disheveled look but it comes off so manufactured and deliberate. Kind of like Boris Johnson. Tool.
    • Ok but seriously, are they allowed to use their phones for Tiktok or YouTube during the lulls? Rory's round took 5 hrs 51 mins
    • Hole 6, you need to hit a 240 ish slight draw. I decided to flight a hybrid. I made the perfect length backswing, I swung down better, and I kept my arms in front of my chest in the finish with a 3/4 finish.  The ball didn’t get to the tree tops, flighted push draw. I really felt that stretch of the club pulling me up into the finish.  2nd is the next shot, a 70 yard waist to waist distance 52 degree wedge that landed 3 yards short of pin high and one hop stop pin high. Nippy. 😁
