250 yards with a 16* hybrid? Riiiiiight...

I imagine a good player could do it without too much trouble. I hit my 17* 2h about 215 and I'm not a long hitter. 250 may be on the long side but I wouldn't say it "not possible".

In the bag:
Driver:  Burner 10.5* Stiff     ||    3 Wood:  Burner 13* Stiff     ||     Hybrids:  Slingshot 17*, 21*, 24* Utility

Irons:  MX-300 5-PW     ||     Gap & Sand Wedge:  Spin-Milled Black Nickel 52.08* / 58.08*

Putter:  VP-09 Blade 33"     ||     Ball:  Penta TP

That seems reasonable, what's your issue with it? Too short?

I appreciate the support-the last thing I'm going to do here is inflate or brag about my distances (cause it's annoying, and they're not really anything to brag about anyway). The Baffler 16* hybrid is practically a second driver, but unlike a driver, I never fade or slice with the 16*, so I can really step into it when need be. Also, the ball just seems to jump off the face. I hit it twice this weekend from the fairway, once on a par 5 after a nice drive, and once on a par 4 after a horrible drive. Both times it went 240+, and I hit it off the tee a couple times, where it usually goes 235-255. I can also choke down to the edge of the grip and use an easier swing for about 205-210 yards. Bottom line, remarkably easy to hit and versatile-I've reached more par 5s in 2 using the Baffler in 2009-2010 than I had in every other year of my golfing life combined.

LOL...yeah, too short. *rolls eyes* You gotta love people on golf forums who claim all these great distances. Kinda like all the people who claim to be hitting their 9-iron 180 yards...

I'm not sure exactly how a 250 yard 16* Hybrid (essentially a 3 wood) equates to a 180 yard 9 iron? Whatever, I only put down my distance to give an idea of how useful a low-lofted hybrid can be. But it sure seems to bother you, so what the heck.

Anyway, my 9 iron (when I'm playing my Zings) usually goes about 145, sometimes 150 when I'm extra big and strong.

My 5w was magic. It did all sorts of stuff for me. Easily my favorite club in my bag...until I got a 3i hybrid and loved it so much I replaced my aging 5w with a 2h (17*). It's even better than the 5w. I'm not saying you should run out and change, just letting you know it can get better - even when its already great.
