I agree on the 20 posts, 20 answers. Most of the clubs abilities lay in the hands of the user. The best solution is take lessons. I use Founders Clubs with good results.

yea I know but for some reason I loved the look at address of these ap2 irons and feel of hitting down on the ball with them. I tried the ap1's as well and still felt like I was hitting the ap2's better so why not get the ones I liked better plus they are forged. I mean they just screamed precision when you hit them.

i love my ap2s but like others said it's about what clubs u like best

Go with the clubs that suit your eye / tastes.

I tried AP1, AP2, ZB, G15 and i15 before finally settling on the i15s. Would have loved the ZBs, but they were ex-demo with S300 shafts, which does not suit my tempo or lack of power (still loved 'em though).

If you can strike the AP2s well and you like them, there's little point in deviating from them (unless there are other options you haven't explored yet).

Went to a Titleist fitting day yesterday and loved the AP 2's. Got fitted for them with a Project X 5.5 shaft. Now I just have to decide if they are worth the dough to replace my i10's. Definitely leaning to the AP 2's though.

If you are wondering about the Mizunos then find some and hit them. So much is personal preference. I was at a Callaway demo day last weekend and lots of guys were ranting about the Diablo Forged irons and I hated the feel of them.

awesome. Yea I didnt get fitted though. Are the project x shafts more money? Im also thinking of buying them online because they are cheaper, so should I just go to a golf shop and get custom fitted for the ap2's and then order them?

Yes, the Project X are a bit more, but the pro who fitted me figured they were about an extra $10 per club over the stock Dynamic Gold. As for being fitted, I definitely would. The feel and ball flight characteristics change with the different shafts, and you want to see if you need them more upright or flat. I was fitted standard length 2˚ upright or with an extra half inch length shaft at standard lie. I am 6'1" so the extra length and standard lie will probably be the one I will go for if I buy them.

    • Day 35 (6 Jan 26) - Got opportunity to play today, opted to mix it up - pulled Driver, 3w and 4h, keeping 7w, 5-Pw, 50 and 55 wedges and putter.  Played a set of tees up as well - goal: focus on the irons, especially the scoring clubs.  Had one of the sessions in a while (3 over 39 front, 6 over 42 back (a couple late round poor shot choices)).  Had a blast working a 10 club setup…
    • Day 17 - 2026-01-06 Mix of mat and net work, same focus on trail side and hands. Mirror work again later in the day.
    • Hi all. I have sought permission from admin to post this here. First, here's a quick link to my products on TST, which a few of the mods have been road-testing...  Most of you would be aware of the import tariffs imposed on importers to the US circa September last year. Prior to their introduction, I was selling a decent number each week into the 'States. Since the tariffs came in - which added ~AU$60 to the total cost of getting them over there - sales have dropped to virtually nil. I think fear of the tariffs is the biggest part rather than the actual cost increase, despite me declaring everywhere on my site that we pay the tariffs and have successfully got every order into the US without any problems since. What is still unknown to most US consumers is that these tariffs will DOUBLE in February as Australia Post will no longer be allowed to offer "private" rates, they all change to "commercial". I do indeed think that this will make the products uncompetitive to ship there. So what's the backstory?  I'm a small Aussie business, not some corporate juggernaut. I invented these products - not a reseller for someone else. The import tariffs double in February, so add another ~15% to the total cost. If you want StanceMate alone I can do a super deal on a run-out model PREVIEW HERE (note you cannot purchase this yet. I think the shipped price will be about AU$110 inc Shipping (tariffs included). If you want to reduce the cost of the whole Stryper Plus Bundle I can swap the runout StanceMate to reduce the overall price by AU$60. These work EXACTLY as the newer version, just not as premium quality in the way the finish is achievbed in production) IMPORTANT: All import tariffs are PRE-PAID at my end, and clears customs no problem. I've sent a half dozen since October with every one delivered. NB: I'm not here to get into the politics of the decisions on tariffs, so let's not go down that road. It is what it is! So StanceMate to your door in US - tariffs prepaid - about US$70 Bundle to your door in US - tariffs prepaid - US$240 Bundle (with version 1 StanceMate) to your door in US - tariffs prepaid - US$200 Cheers Corbs
