I've been working on posture, shoulder turn, weight transfer, etc, a lot lately. I've found it extremely helpful to practice these things even when I'm not actually practicing. If I find myself standing around when no one is watching at home, at the office, etc, I will take a stance and practice the turn into the backswing and then the weight transfer and start of a swing. I've been improving enormously lately, and I think a big part is getting these pieces of my swing ingrained. It helps that my apartment and office have lots of mirrors or reflective glass walls so I can check my feel against reality.

Anyone else do this or similar? Any good drills that you can do in a minute or two without any equipment?

T-Zoid Forged 15° 3W, MX-23 4-PW
Harmonized 52° GW, Tom Watson 56° SW, X-Forged Vintage 60° LW
White Hot XG #1 Putter, 33"

I don't practice per se, but it's rare that I walk past a mirror without checking my take-away on a down the line view. Granted there are no people around of course.

At the risk of stepping on a thread that apparently only allows usernames beginning with "z", I have an observation. Practicing every day really matters, even if it's only a little and even if it doesn't involve having a club in your hand. What you're doing can really lead to rapid improvement. You might want to cut off an old wood and slap a grip on it, so you can have something to grip/swing/pose with indoors without being a threat to life and property. A swing doughnut brings it pretty close to a normal swingweight, too.

I don't know if it has helped, but I'm doing what you suggested there.

Instead of hitting balls hours at a time, I hit balls 15-20 minutes many times a day. When hitting many balls I tend to overdo things and lose focus. Also gives me time to think about the details in between of each session.

I find myself taking practice swings whereever and whenever no one is looking as well regardless of where i am. At work, i'm sure when i'm in the elevator alone and taking swings in the air the security guys are watching me on the surveillance cams and wondering what the heck i'm doing.
