Hi All,
I am unable to carry my clubs anymore (back surgery) and an thinking about getting a Clicgear 3.0. I have read many posts about how small it fold up to, but they do not say if this is with the bag attached or not.
I golf one a week in a league and would like to leave the bag on the cart, fold it and put it in the trunk.
So, how does this cart fold with a bag attached?
I'm probably going to get out this weekend to see for myself, but thought I would ask the people that are using them day-to-day.
Lastly, anything else about this cart that I should know about? Quirks, the good, bad or ugly?
Thanks

I have the CLicgear 2.0. The 3.0 has a few upgrades (different lever styles, different brake, bigger console). The Clicgear will not fold with a bag attached. It actually folds into itself to take up less room. In folding into itself, the 2 areas where the bag is strapped in do not maintain their place and fold into the middle.

I love the cart, it folds small, is simple to fold and unfold once you do it a few times. The straps are great and the bag will not budge, but they are easy to get on and off. One of the quirks that I have run into, is that if you put towels up around the handle (on the towel hook loops), you will have to hold them out of the way when you fold. The other thing is that if you are not careful the first few times you fold it up it can be a finger pincher.

If I was buying one now, I would still get the 2.0. The 3.0 does not have enough to justify the $30-40 price difference. I do not need a bigger console and the other improvements seem minimal.

Thanks Josh,
I have a range finder, wallet and keys that I would put into the console, big enought for that I'm assuming?
I also will be using my Nike carrying bag, are most bags secure on it?
I'll take my bag with this weekend when I go shopping to make sure.

I too have the 2.0 edition and LOVE it! Console should easily hold what you mentioned. Currently, i have a stand bag on mine and it fits fine.

I had a Nike Extreme Sport Stand bag before my current one, and it rode well on the Clicgear in my opinion. As far as your contents, they might fit and they may not, but it is relatively spacious. I keep my wallet in there and the keys in my bag, as I hate the key rattle. One of the guys I play with kept his rangefinder in the console but got sick of opening it and closing it, so he put a retractable carabiner on the rangefinder and hooked it on one of the towel loops so it was always at the ready. I can see it working without the retractable part, just hook it on and go...

    • 1:39 - he’s a right push late. He doesn’t really drive down from the right.  4:10 - you’re showing me what a faller does, not a driver. And the last thing in the world I want is a long drive guy falling, not driving. I don’t think you’re driving off your back leg.  14:50 - I want you to get to a point where you drive off the right leg   If I were watching this on my own without instruction, I would try to push off the right/back leg more.    I really like how Greg teaches though. Love the athletic movement approach. I think they also spoke a lot more about setup than is shown in the video based on some comments and he likely did a great job in connecting how the setup leads to the desired movement too.
    • I've followed mytpi on Instagram for a while as it seems they have the best handle on the complex relationship between directional forces and transfer to arms, hands and eventually the business end, aka, clubhead. This video is straight up awesome. What I really appreciate here is they didn't try to create a new motor pattern - something I believe f***s up a lot of elite athletes. I believe freaks of nature like Jamie have are unusually gifted because of it. They went to his old one which was simply a recall. Kudos. On a small technical note I love the elevation (un-weighting) at the top is a good thing. Bit of a gather and drop pattern. I've always hated that in my own swing maybe not the worse thing after all.

    • Now this was a great video. The look on Jamie’s face during the ‘legs drive the arms down’ part is how I feel sometimes during GEARS sessions. I’m not quite getting the idea across to my body. I’m starting to get it physically now. I will also change how I do the medicine ball work in Fit for Golf. Mike Carroll should see this. He may revise some of the jump and toss videos to incorporate this.
