oh yea, the swing is back.

My issues, very inconsistant... Topping the ball a bit, slices and pulls.

Fix, balance. I was setting up with all the weight on my toes, this caused my balance to shift to the heels in the backswing and toes to the downswing, and i would end up sometimes falling forward. This caused me to come up and out of the golf swing. To fix it i was concentrating on keeping equal weight on my heel and the balls of my feet, being flat footed. Once i got there, i started flaring the ball right, thats because my swing before countered the balance issue with extending my hands down the line to keep from pulling the ball. So once i got my self getting to my left line i would get my hands to come through impact right, and boom the swing is back. Straight shots, maybe a 2 - 5 yard draw on the ball.

So for those who have consistancy issues, check your balance at your address position, you shouldn't be able to be pushed over if someone tapped you on the forehead or back, equal pressure on the balls of my feet and heel. I also flared my left foot out a bit as well, this really helped me get to my left side in balance and get off my toes.

Well i don't know how the distance in my swing will be now. I have to get the GPS out. there's going to be alot less over swinging and smoother tempo as i wont need to force my hands to do alot of the work.

So, the wheels came off after 2 years without driving it less than 250yds?

Here in Asia we get some commercials on the Golf Channel, promoting the PGA tour. On one of them is Chad Campbell and he says something like: "My parents always told me that if you have to tell people how good you are, you're probably not all that good"

      Day 3, April 11, after the Masters and before dinner, I had time (quite a bit of time, actually) to hit about two dozen practice balls, complete with the pelvis limiting drill.  As with the past two days, I would do the drill for pelvis limiting, then take slow rehearsals of the backswing, checking positions in a mirror, and then reset and hit.  These were all indoors, off a mat, into a net, primarily with a 6-iron, although a few were with a 9-iron.

      Day 234 4-11 Wrist arching and hips/chest in backswing. Really trying to hammer in the wrist arch, its such a  better swing when I do it correctly, its not in muscle memory yet.

      All of these missed fairways and the miraculous escapes followed by the seemingly reliable miracles suddenly stopping reminds me of another former Masters champion whose luck ran out on the 72nd hole of a major twenty years ago.
