I view this place alot on tuesdays and fridays since it is my floor day at my agency.
I work for Century Insurance Group LLC, out of bend oregon. We are an independent agency with over 50 carriers for auto, home, life, health and Commercial insurance. Figured I would get a little bit of a commercial in there

I'm the Business Development Manager for an Insurer called Club Marine in New Zealand - we are a part of Allianz NZ Ltd which in turn is part of the Allianz Group a German insurer who are the 2nd largest financial services provider in the world.

Our small part of the company specialises in Marine Pleasurecraft insurance, bith here and in the South Pacific.
In the bag:
Driver - FT-i 9.5* Neutral Speeder 686 Stiff
Fairway Wood - X-Tour 15* Stiff
Hybrid - Nickent 3DX Ironwood 17* Aldila NV Hybrid 75S
Irons - Tour Stage Z101 Forged Irons DG S300 Shatfs (2-PW) Wedges - 52* Callaway X Tour Vintage, 58* Callaway X Tour Mack Daddy VintagePutter - Scotty...

that would be intresting. A pretty good nich doing pleasure craft. How long have you been doing it?

At Club Marine only since May. At my previous company I did it for 2 and a half years.

It can be quite interesting - it's amazing when you see some of the large launches and yachts the more affluent people have. We have some very good ship builders here as well and we get to insure a lot of the new boats being built. Just a shame I can't afford one :/

I am a Safety Management Consultant at Grocers Insurance (HQ - Portland, OR). Been with the company almost six years. Golf has been a bit sporatic this year with trying to fit my CPCU tests into the shortest time frame possible (three tests left ).

Like a good neighbor, Thrash13 is there.

I'm not the happiest in the insurance business, but it has paid the bills for the last 2+ years. I've certainly learned a lot however.

    • Day 233 (22 Dec 24) - Very late afternoon session (after watching the PNC finish - much more entertaining than the Showdown) with the 50deg, hitting nippy low flighted chips.  Really focused on foot position and keeping swing smooth.   As light was fading fast and temps were heading south of freezing, session was pretty abbreviated.
    • Tiger’s walking at the PNC and people say he’s not limping.
    • I haven't heard much of anything about it. Faux leather, sure. Biodegradable leather? No. No idea. You're a bit too new, still, to post links.
    • Okay, I'm genuinely curious about this "biodegradable leather" trend in golf. Are we talking snake oil here? I mean, golf balls, clubs... they all end up in the water eventually. Is this just greenwashing, or is there actually a real environmental benefit? And honestly, does it even perform as well as traditional leather? I don't want to sacrifice distance for the planet, you know? Anyone with real-world experience with these eco-friendly golf goods? Spill the tea!
