I have trouble with a slice on my drive and I was wondering if maybe i choked down on the driver a little bit that could help. Anyone try this and have success?

I choke down slightly on my driver and maybe its more of a mental thing for me but I feel like I have much more control of my swing when I choke down.

I used to choke down and still sliced occasionally. Then I practiced a good swing, and can hit it pretty straight having my hands where they are supposed to be.

Choking down will give you a little more control but its probably not going to fix your slice. My advice would be to figure out why you are slicing and work on correcting that.

I've also heard that choking down on the grip with change the speed of the clubhead and affect your distance. I don't think it has anything to do with a slice, though. I had this issue for awhile and I fixed it by focusing on how much my wrists are rotating on the downswing. Do a nice slow swing and look at the angle of the clubhead on the moment of impact. If it's open instead of square, you're going to slice.

Not always, that would be a push to the right. If he swung across the ball then he would slice. Work on your swing plane first IMO.
