Trying to update my cheap set with better equipment. I have decided to start with my short game first. I am getting a new putter this weekend (Taylormade Rosa Bolero) and my next project will be my wedges.

Right know all I have is a pitching wedge and a cheap 56 deg (med bounce) sand wedge. I have been using the sand wedge for most my chips and pitches under 50 yards and am becoming better with it. I want to replace the SW with a better wedge though and also get a gap and a lob wedge. I have though about the 60 degree wedge but at my level (just getting to where i can break 100) is the 60 degree going to be to hard for me to use.Would I be better of going with a gap wedge at 52/08 deg and then get something like a 58/12 for a sand/lob wedge? Or is it better to go with the 4 wedge Pitching, Gap, Sand, Lob wedge route? Would a 58 degree be easier to hit than the 60?

Also what about Bounce? From everything I have read it seems like more bounce is a bit more forgiving that lower bounce. Should i stay around 8-12 deg of bounce on all my wedges?

Thanks for any tips!!

Mark

I only carry a 52 and a 60. Thought about adding another wedge, but dont really have a need for it. I can execute all the shots I need to with what I have in the bag...That being said, I would probably prefer my 60 to be a 58 instead, but it doesnt make all that much of a difference.

Look at irons first and gap your wedges accordingly to the irons you get so say you get a 45º PW then go 50º, 54º, 58º but just go accordingly to what your PW in your iron set will be
