Went to a demo day a couple days ago. I tried and loved the 909D3 9.5 loft with the stock aldila voodoo 73X. Before I tried the D3 I tried a 909D2 9.5 loft with a UST proforce V2 Stiff 75 shaft and I liked the feel of it but it was way too high launch for me not because of the shaft but the D2 head. I want to buy the 909D3 9.5 loft with the UST proforce V2 75X shaft. I looked at the titleist website and compared the stock aldila voodoo to the proforce v2.

Aldila voodoo for titlest:
Torque- 3.3
Flex point- mid/high
Trajectory- low/mid

UST Proforce V2:
Torque- 2.2
Flex point- mid/high
Trajectory- low/mid

The flex points and trajectories are the same but the torque is the only thing that's different. I'd like to know what kind of differences or similarities there would be between the two shafts. I play a proforce v2 in my 3 wood so I love the feel and look of the shaft. Unfortunately the rep only had the stiff flex v2 in 75 grams , the only X flex shafts he had were the stock voodoo and diamana. Will I notice a huge difference in stiffness? If the flex points and trajectories are the same, the difference in torque wouldn't affect the spin or launch.
Thanks

I think that lower torque means lower launch, at least that's what some people have told me on this forum.

If you play a V2 in your 3 wood and it's an X-flex, you should stick with the same shaft for your driver and go for an X-flex V2.

What is the weight difference on the shafts? As andef says torque has an effect on launch angle and the way it works is face angle. I have recently been using Dcomp with too much Torque which made it impossible to hit left and easy to slice as I release my hands late in the swing that high torque shaft meant I was coming in open and sending the ball right.

You want the right answer go and find a fitter with the right set up and try it. Are you anywhere near Austin? if so google Ryan Crysler, top Titleist guy.

alright I'll try to find him, but the V2 shaft is 75grams and the voodoo is 73 grams by the way.
