Damn you Mother Nature

So there I was shooting the best round of my entire Golfing life,2 birdies on the front nine along with 4 pars and 3 double bogeys giving me a front 9 total of 40 my best before that was a 44!

Start off well on the back 9 with a bogey,par,par,bogey,bogey,par so I'm 67 with 3 to play which included a short par 4 of 290yards and a par 3 and another par 4 of about 320yards,so Im confident I will at the very least get a bogey on each giving me a score of 81 even if I double bogey the last 3 i'll get a 84,and I could even get in the 70's...my previous best ever is a 94...

Anyways just as we are walking to the 16th the heavens opened up,and I mean did they ever...it was bucketing it down.
So we waited awhile but the rain just kept coming,at this stage it was getting on past 9pm and starting to get dark,so after waiting a half an hour and the time coming up to 9.20pm and quite dark we had to give up as the rain was just getting worse..
I suppose we could have played on in the rain but the others in my group didn't want too and in fairness this was ridiculous rain even for Ireland! and we were also half way up the Dublin mountains at the time which meant the rain was just flowing down flooding the greens.

I'm gutted,I know I could have achieved something great,I also know I could have blown up on the last 3 but the way I was playing I was full of confidence and I really feel I could have even shot a 78 or 79 as the short
Par 4 and Par 3 were easy enough holes where I could have got at least a Par if not a birdie on one or both.

Mate that is shite, just be gald with your score for 15 as that is great shooting for 23 handicap

I have booked the afternoon off to play here in Wales with a few friends and yep you guessed it? it is bastard raining after being sunny all week and forcast sunny for the rest of the week/weekend

At least I am playing Sat as well which is forecast 24 and sunny, yeah like that is gonna happen!

We need to move to Florida

I was playing in Slade Valley just outside Saggart but I usually play in GrangeCastle in Newcastle or down home in Laois.

Have never played Druids Heath buy have played Druids Glen a few times

That sucks, i remember a similar situation. My dad loads the radar on his blackberry and said, "I think we can get a few more holes him". I told him we should head in. we get to the next tee, it was a deluge of water, lets just say we were riding our carts back as fast as possible to the clubhouse.
