I had the s***** (know some people don't even like the word ) today and think it has to do with my ball placement. I didn't hit a good shot all day, they all went either hard left or hard right. Anybody have any advice as to where I should put the ball in my stance for different clubs. Thanks guys.

I'm going to get crucified for this, but it is really dependant on the person and his/her swing. When talking about ball placement, I remember Bobby Clampett saying that he didn't care if you played the ball up in your stance or back in your stance, as long as the ball was 4 inches behind the bottom of the swing. So, the answer is that you need to experiement and find the bottom of your swing and then play the ball 4 inches back

I know there are many out there that will say if you aren't playing the ball in the middle or forward, then you have fundamental problems elsewhere -- so, have at it.

Take a few swings with your 6-iron, on grass, without a ball. The leading edge of the ball goes right behind where your divot starts.

As for those Shots That May Not Be Named, factors other than ball position contribute greater. See a pro.
