Umm yea actually the OP did ask for a ball that spins less, he said the Pro V was too much, check again? And I was jus stating that because I thought it was intresting that 1x spins more than v1 on half wedge shots..!!

A ball that spins less but still checks around the greens is what the OP is looking for, which means less spin with every club but the short wedge shots (the clubs one uses around the greens). Independent testing by a company (they shared their data with me for a school project) shows that the ProV1x spins less than the ProV1 on 9 iron, 6 iron, 3 iron and driver shots. They also tested other premium balls and the lower spin version always spun less than the higher spin version.

Regarding the golf digest graph, do you really trust a magazine that suggests your clubs are "obsolete" if you bought them two years ago (just as WUtiger suggested)? I tried that with my buddies , each of us hitting three shots with each ball from 60 yards. What were the results? The ProV1x landed, hopped once and checked/backed up a foot or two, the ProV1 landed with a small forward hop and spun back roughly 10 feet.
