Bought the R9 SuperTri and the R9 irons. I went in and had them tryed out and fitted and come away with the R9 performing better thn my RAC's and the new Burners.

I tell you....I could not truly believe how much that adjustability would matter. I went in with a hook/draw...now the way my driver is set up it is straight as a string. It makes me feel bad because I was doing it by cheating....so the first thing I did was neutralize the drivr and try to work my natural swing into the club. I could understand if someone had a drastic problem or didnt want to put the time into the range trying to find out what is happening. For instance...the guy at first had me anti-drawing /with the settings. I could not stand it....I figured if Ben Hogan could do it without the adjustability so could I. So....I adjusted it to neautral, stopped swingging on such a flatter plane and now I have my baby slice back....LOL

They ARE NOT as forgiving as the Burner.....I really have to watch my backswing (cupping the wrist) on my backswing,,wiih my wrist breaking at the right time to get a great shot. With the Burner i could swing away and expect a straight shot....but with the R9 I have to work at it...but that is what is all about right......with the Burner I coud shape a shot.....with this R9...with a little shoulder turn and wrisit action...I can now shape a shot.....boy what a upgrade and boy what a learning curve...LOL

TPs or regular? I played the R9s as a rental set last month and like them. They felt good.

I've been debating the R9 tps, last seasons TPs (at a discount), or the Titelist AP2s. Playing the 2006 RAC tps now (forged cavity back). Still like my irons very much but feel like I could probably benefit from some newer technology in the long irons.
