I got some tickets to go on Sunday with my dad
I was wondering, those of you who have been to watch a large event like the US open, where is the place to be? Should i just walk around and follow a group or should i sit on 18 and watch the guys come in?
Any ideas would be appreciated

On Saturday and Sunday, consider going early to follow a group of guys who barely made the cut . Not too many fans, and if they're unknowns on a sponsor's exemption they'll be quite happy they're in the money that week.

You can see some very good players up close, and sometimes they'll even chat with you between holes.

Then, in the afternoon, you can pick up your favorite group in the top 10 and follow them.

Focus, connect and follow through!

I was at a PGA once. It's just like any tournament, really, in terms of spectating. Follow an early group off the first tee for a few holes, then park beside the green while a few more groups come through, then pick up a group and follow it for a few holes, park, pick up, etc. You'll see the entire course and see a lot of golfers.

What my son and I did at Whistling Straits was work our way around the course viewing each hole. (Championship Sunday) This gave us a flavor of the course and conditions. Then we timed it so we were in the grand stands with 8/10 pairing to go. Turned out great as drama played out at the 18th.

Follow some big name players who are miles down the leaderboard. They'll be hitting it off course but you'll see some great recovery shots.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.
