7 iron. About 2 weeks ago I started trying to implement S&T; into my swing. I didn't realize how much of a weight shift I still had going back but I'm striking the ball very well. I feel like I'm keeping myself centered above the ball and I feel comfortable with it. 7i goes about 160 with a slight left to right that comes from my OTT. I used to really cut across the ball to the point where my divots were pointing at my left toe. They are a lot more straight now. I know there are faults (lack of hip turn, hands don't come through the ball great) but that contact sounds awesome if you care to turn the sound on.

Also uploaded the video to swing academy for sloooo-mo. http://www.swingacademy.com/videoPlayer.aspx?id=6829

you've got a major overswing.
you shouldn't bring the club past parallel.

you've also got a flip. A flip is when the clubhead passes ahead of the hands at impact, it's bad for consistency.

Apart from that you've got a nice swing.

I know what you mean with the overswing. There's probably too much wrist break back there too and I know my arms come away from my chest at the top, so if I can figure out how to cut that down I can probably solve some other issues too.

The flip at the end is actual pretty uncommon for me and my iron flight is normally very consistent if nothing else. Very few fat/thin shots in general.

Thanks for the feedback!

You need about sixty percent of that backswing.

Bring the hands back a little deeper and inside instread of so far back and up. This will also help straighten up your left arm at the top. You can tell you're going out to in on your swing path instead of in to out, caused by your break at the top and steep backswing.

It sure sounds sweet though, you're obviously making great contact, but I think a shorter deeper backswing around your body will help your flight path consistency.

    • I had a few tweeks in the bag. I took out my Mizuno pro FliHi 3 iron replaced it with a Titleist GT2 7 Wood. what a change that is, so easy to hit, it goes so high without it ballooning on me. I couldn't get rid of my callaway woods ( Rogue ST Max LS ) but changed the shafts to Diamana BB 63 stiff for the driver and 73 stiff for the 3 wood. Than i got myself a new putter Odyssey S2S jailbird yes i joined the centershaft family
    • First off all i think you should use the same ball all the time. We all strive for consistency on the course, the only factor you can be sure it will be always the same is your ball if you always use the same. So i think we should always use the same. I recently switched from Titleist Pro V1x to Srixon Z-Star Diamond because it i get a bit softer feel around the greens and same results on driver and irons
