Yes, a very heartfelt congrats to Mr. McDowell....very well played.

Johnny Miller was absolutley wrong by continually saying nobody was stepping up to play a great final round.....Graeme McDowell did exactly what he needed to do to win the US Open....to me that is, by definition, a great round of golf.....shout out to Mr. Havret as well, as he really showed some mettle giving McDowell a run for his money.

Can't wait for St. Andrews!

I did want to say one thing I forgot.....I can appreciate the emotion and celebration by McDowell after holing out, but I really think it would have been appropriate for him to take the time to shake hands with DJ and his caddie before leaving the green....I think DJ kind of lingered at the back edge waiting for McDowell to break away from his caddie/father/brother to shake his hand, but was kind of hanging in the wind for a long time...

That said, I can probably give McDowell a pass here, and I am sure in hindsight he probably would have done things differently.

Did anyone else notice this at the time?

I know its customary to shake hands, i doubt he did it on purpose, but he was definetly lost in the moment of winning the US open.

I hope DJ can learn from this and come back a better golfer, he has freakish power.

I actually saw McDowell walk towards DJ after the tournament. DJ put up his hand to shake hands, then McDowell just gave him a smirk and replied "Sorry, I don´t shake hands with people that can´t break 80" and kept walking off.

True story.

Golf is a game in which the ball always lies poorly and the player always lies well.
