Just heard Frank Nobilo say "Charlie Wi is one of those Tilt and Stack guys and they have a habit of getting stuck back on the right side" Now I haven't been learning the SandT very long but I know that's a ridiculous statement.

Hope Rose closes the round out and takes 6 shot lead into the final day.

What does it say about a golf course that the shortest player on tour and the longest are both fighting for the win on the final day?

Yeah, good for him, seems like a nice bloke.Wouldn't mind seeing more of him contending in bigger tournaments.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

Bubba has just turned into my third favourite player after today, them last few holes just summed him up perfectly and his erraticness, birdies 15 to get him into contention and then goes aggressively at 16 to lead, then in my mind puts himself out of the tournament with the double on 17, then in his own style bombs one 396 yards (via a cart path) to leave himself a chip and a putt to get in the playoff and then pulls out an amazing shot on the 1st playoff hole which i thought was going in. it was really exciting the ending today, Way to go Bubba

Was glad to see Corey Pavin play well this week too. I wonder how he felt after hitting his tee shot on the first playoff hole 219 yards and Bubba hit his 320? :D

His mood was likely better than it would have been if he had played the 18th with Bubba in regulation. Corey hit a good drive, and Bubba launched his 150 yards farther.

How does any player gain fans? With wins. You think Phil has so many fans 'cause he has nice hair?

    • I am not sure that is what he is driving with his YouTube channel. I think he would be doing exactly the same thing is now if he never left for LIV.
    • It’s similar, I think, to people who say, ‘ if I won the big lottery, I’d still keep my job.’ Well, maybe. But when that money comes in….plans change. The necessity of work unless you’re one of the few who truly love their job and financial compensation, can wane real quick when the ‘need’ is gone.  No question these guys love the thrill of playing majors and the fame that comes from winning one. But where’s the thrill of winning a LIV tournament? It’s just the money which they already have. Nobody cares who wins a LIV Championship. It’s like comparing a match with some buddies, drinking, music…ok, you won. LIV will never reach the status of a PGAT major nor many other non-major events. Maybe BD is naive enough to think people taking interest in him will drive more LIV viewership. It won’t. It will just make people wish he was back on tour more than ever.
    • Wow. Where is this course (in Norway, I presume)? Seems like fun.. no pun intended.
    • Day 46 (17 Jun 24) - Walked the front nine at Minnesott today, with trimmed down back (8 clubs: D, 3w, 4h, 6i, 8i, PW, 54* and Putter).  Knew it would be a challenge to "plan" approaches that the shorter clubs would cover.  Did okay - of the six pars made four were up and downs.  The 54* wedge had a solid day of hitting those infamous short pitches/chips I post about.  Most were within kick-in distance  a couple were in the 8' range.  Overall a 39 scored with three bogies and 0 doubles.  Love the challenge this brings - and to be honest - a lot less stressed as there are fewer options on the table (or in this case "in the bag").
