I'm not sure if a video is needed but for the life of me I cant hit my 6,5,4 irons solid anymore. My lower irons i'm hitting great. Driver and 3w are great. Everything is a slight fade and controled. I'm either hitting the mid irons off the toe or heel. Any ideas what i'm doing to hit so inconsistant with just those?

10.5 cant hit a 6 iron?
You're probably swinging too hard / lifting your head/ swaying a bit possibly
But most likely swinging too hard

My guess would be swinging too hard also. I have a bad tendency to do that as well.

Ive been golfing for a while.. around 10 years, not very much, but I can't see me spending tons on clubs the way I suck.

Its a mental thing to think you need to swing harder to get the ball in the air when it looks like there is less loft, when you actually just need to swing the same, nice and easy

Video would be good to know for sure. You might be trying to help the ball in the air by scooping it. Try driving the clubhead down into the back of the ball.

Swinging too hard might be my problem because when i do hit it well i end up pulling it.

i could guarantee that you're swinging too hard, most people do, myself included sometimes
Also make sure you're not flipping or lifting your head or dropping it
a video will tell you this instantly

Another vote for swing slow. Try shortening the back swing. It worked for me. What I thought was a half swing was actually a 3/4 swing, which is all needed to hit long and straight.
