Busted my wedge!!!

Well, this past weekend, one of the rounds I played was a short 9 hole loop and my buddy decided we should do 3 club match. Sounded fun and lightened up the load since we went 18 that morning as well. I just took my 3 hybrid, 7 iron, 56*, and putter and shot +1, bogeying the last two holes after I ruined my wedge . Really wanted to break par.

Started on 8 at -1, 355 downhill par 4 w/ road crossing the fairway at the 100 yard marker. I crushed my tee shot with the 3 hybrid, settling about 4 feet past it. Great! I thought just hit my sand wedge and stick it easy, the rocky road wasn't even a thought as I tested the ground with the club and I wasn't near the edge at all. Swing, and BANG. Ball goes a bit short, I look to find out what happened, my wedge had 5 huge holes busted in the front edge and the face is warped to hell. That just killed me. Then I got there and a big bump of crab grass is right in front of my balls so I need to chip it high. Messed that up. Needed that for a close birdie chip on 9 too, and it wasn't gonna do it.

I figured since it's not really good anymore, I'd just hammer it and see if I could rough it up to something that seemed similar and, it's not bad looking, but there's no way it would go through the ground the same, and I can't trust that the face is flat. When I got home, I jumped on ebay and grabbed myself a Mizuno MP T-10 right away. I was pissed at the time, but when I got home, I instantly felt better when I realized it was an excuse to buy a new wedge when my wife asks. Can't wait until that club gets here.

Well I guess things worked out in the end!
Why didn't you get another nickent wedge instead of the mizuno one?
