I am heading to the Montreal Champions Tour this Saturday and was wondering if I should pack food to bring with me, or is that frowned upon.

Basically what do people do at these type of events for food and drink?

Are the concessions at these events normally very busy?

I only went to one, as a company rep escorting a customer. My company paid for a hospitality tent so food drink was provided. Lots of company tents were there but some were general, for a price you could get in. They were pricey though. Not sure what current prices would be. Others will probably fill us in. I did see an Amex Cardmember tent during the Open coverage on TV.

It ain't bragging if you can do it.

No cell phones or cameras. Take sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, bottled water. Wear good walking shoes (if its wet, wear some with good grip). Concessions will be busy on the final day, especially near the final hole(s). Concessions near holes 6, 7, 14, 15 shouldn't be busy. I've always eaten before going--pricey at the course.

I've only been to one event (the US Open this year) and outside food or drink were not permitted. Based on other events (concerts, etc) I'd expect this to be the case at yours too. You might look online and see if there's a website for the event with info for spectators.

salut. you may take water and that is the only beverage allowed, no food though as others have said. as far as the busyness of the concessions stand, it depends on the tournament, but usually there are enough of them interspersed around the course that you won't be waiting any longer than 2 or 3 minutes, and that's at a PGA tour event.

Well it was a great day. Wonderful weather and great golf. Man these guys can really hit a ball...We ended up not taking anything with us, but as it turns out lots of people brought some packs/coolers with water and snacks. Next year I'll do the same, pricing on the grounds was quite expensive. I mean $3 for a small water and $4.50 for a hot dog is ridiculous!

We ended up having a great day!
